Antique CH Pillivuyt & Co Paris 1867 Set Of 3 Porcelain Serving Platters & Dish Lot #1. This lot is one of 5 lots of matching Medaille D'Or (Gold Medal) porcelain items produced by C H. Pillivuyt & Co in Paris, France in 1867. This beautiful porcelain set was custom-made for the Honorable George Tyler Bigelow of Boston, a Justice of the Court of Massachusetts from 1850 - 1860, and Chief Justice of the Court from 1860 - 1867. The items each have the ornate monogram "GB" with the masonic symbol in the center (Bigelow was a Freemason).It is quite likely that this set was presented to Bigelow on the occasion of his retirement from the Court in 1867. The set was acquired from the estate of one of his descendants. All the items in the set have the same scalloped edges and dusty pink colored band with gold rims. They are all marked on the base with the red stamp for "CH Pillivuyt & Co Paris EXP 1867 Medaille D'Or". This lot includes 3 pieces. 21 5/8" x 15 3/8" x 2 1/4. There are no chips or cracks (except for one very tiny chip on the foot - see photo #9).
