It is quite likely that this set was presented to Bigelow on the occasion of his retirement from the Court in 1867. The set was acquired from the estate of one of his descendants. All the items in the set have the same scalloped edges and dusty pink colored band with gold rims.
They are all marked on the base with the red stamp for "CH Pillivuyt & Co Paris EXP 1867 Medaille D'Or". This lot includes 3 pieces. 21 5/8" x 15 3/8" x 2 1/4. There are no chips or cracks (except for one very tiny chip on the foot - see photo #9). A few minor surface marks (see photo #7).
Minor surface wear on the foot. Loss of gold paint on the inner and outer rims (see photo #8). The three serving dishes each have 3 rings of gold - 1. A very thin circular ring in the middle 2.

The amount of gold paint remaining on the large platter is. 95% with some light scratches. The dusty pink band is in very good condition. 15 7/8" x 11 3/8" x 1 1/2. A few minor surface marks.
